Biker and walker airlifted from Caersws and Snowdon

A mountain biker and a walker were airlifted to hospital in separate incidents in mid and north Wales on Saturday.

The biker suffered back pain after an accident near Caersws in Powys and was winched to safety by the RAF Sea King helicopter from Anglesey.

The aircraft was later called to Snowdon where a man, 25, fell 20ft (6m) and cut his head on the Llanberis path.

Both were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
