Three-week black bin collection plan by Gwynedd council

29 April 2014 Last updated at 19:15 BST

Gwynedd council has become the first in Wales to approve three-weekly refuse collections.

The decision was prompted by increasing fines for authorities that do not meet landfill targets.

The council said the changes would save money and help the environment but some residents are not happy.

Matthew Richards reports.
