UK Justice Minister Chris Grayling visits a women's centre in Rhyl on Wednesday to discuss ways to help female offenders avoid prison and divert them from crime.
North Wales Women's Centre is one of a network of centres across Wales and England designed to address inequalities of service provision for women who are in contact with or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System.
It has received a £500,000 Welsh government grant to continue its work until 2017.
Centre managing director Gemma Fox explains more to Mai Davies on BBC Radio Wales.
