A new community centre, which forms part of a £15m housing development in Wrexham, has been opened.

The new facility in Hightown replaces the old community centre on Bryn-y-Cabanau Road.

Almost 150 new homes and a medical centre also form part of the development.

Wales and West Housing Association is behind the project which is estimated to bring a £50m boost to the local economy.
