Storms which brought 108 mph winds to Wales have claimed the life of a 77-year-old man.

Bob Thomas died in hospital after being hit by a falling tree in his garden near Caernarfon.

The Met Office has issued a yellow "be aware" warning for heavy rain and wind overnight into Saturday.

On Friday, ScottishPower said it would pay for meals for customers still without power since Wednesday.

Thousands of homes across north and mid Wales continue to be cut off since wind gusts brought down trees and power lines.
