New warnings for people to stay away from Wales' coast are being made as gale force winds, heavy downpours and high tides are expected across the country from Friday morning until Sunday.

People in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire are being warned to expect severe disruption with fire crews placed on standby.

In Aberystwyth around 600 students are being evacuated from the seafront and all lectures have been cancelled until Tuesday.

BBC Wales environment correspondent Iolo ap Dafydd reports.
