Aberystwyth student films seafront flooding

3 January 2014 Last updated at 13:10 GMT

High tides and strong winds lead to flooding in Wales and south-west England as officials warn of a continuing flood threat across the west of the UK.

Thomas Rule from west Sussex is studying at Aberystwyth University. He looked out of his university accommodation window on Friday morning to discover the promenade outside ripped up and flooded.

When he went downstairs he discovered his building was also flooded.

He shot this video of flooding in his flat and onto the seafront.
