Tidal storm surge warning and gales for Wales

2 January 2014 Last updated at 19:49 GMT

Forecasters are warning that storm force winds and some of the highest tides in decades will add to flooding problems in Wales.

A severe flood warning has already been issued for Barmouth in Gwynedd on Friday morning - the highest level of alert, with risk of danger to life.

Earlier on Thursday, the River Towy burst its banks in Carmarthen.
