A 25-year-old Cardiff artist has been named the most talented portrait artist in the UK.

Nick Lord beat nearly 2,000 others to the prize and will now have one of his works - of Booker Prize winner Hilary Mantel - exhibited in the British Library.

The Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year prize comes with a £10,000 cheque, a year's supply of art materials and the commission to paint Mantel.

BBC Wales Today's Caroline Evans went to meet Mr Lord.
