Lostprophets' Ian Watkins carried out 'shocking child abuse'

Catrin Evans from the Crown Prosecution Service and Chief Inspector Peter Doyle from South Wales Police gave statements outside Cardiff Crown Court on the ''shocking and harrowing child abuse'' committed by Ian Watkins, singer of Welsh rock band Lostprophets.

The 36-year-old admitted a total of 13 child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.

He had previously "furiously denied" the allegations. Two women who cannot be identified were charged alongside him also admitted sexual offences.
