Police hunt man after armed incident at Monthermer Road, Cardiff

Police are continuing to search for a man following an armed operation at a house in Cardiff on Saturday.

South Wales Police officers cordoned off part of Monthermer Road in the Cathays area for several hours starting at about 08.30 BST.

Police confirmed on Tuesday officers had recovered a knife from the scene.

A spokesman said the man was wanted for breach of bail conditions, and investigations into the incident were continuing. No arrests have been made.

One police officer received minor injuries to his arm during the incident.
