16 September 2013 Last updated at 08:06 BST

Shocked neighbours have spoken of their horror following an explosion that destroyed a home in Ceredigion.

An investigation has been launched to find what caused the timber framed house in the village of Beulah to blow up.

Nobody was in the property at the time of the explosion at around 21:00 BST on Saturday - it is understood the owners are away.

Mid and west Wales fire service said the cause of the blast was not yet known and an investigation would continue.

Neighbours Geraint Davies and Wyn Thomas spoke to reporter Matt Murray.
