Four people in hospital after a car and five motorcycles crash in Monmouthshire

Four people have been taken to hospital following a collision between a car and five motorbikes in Monmouthshire.

The alarm was raised after the crash near the Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel, Llangybi, on the Usk to Caerleon road at about 19:25 BST on Tuesday.

Gwent Police said four motorcyclists were taken to hospital. One has possible life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while officers carried out an investigation.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Usk and Malpas in Newport helped the ambulance service deal with the collision.
