Grass fires on Kilvey Hill, Swansea and Penrhys Mountain, Rhondda

Firefighters are tackling a 10-acre (4ha) grass and gorse fire on a hill in Swansea.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said three crews were fighting the flames on Kilvey Hill with beaters and water jets.

The alarm was raised shortly before 17:00 BST on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three South Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews are tackling a blaze on Penrhys Mountain in the Rhondda Cynon Taf.

They were called out to the grass fire at 18:45 BST.
