Quinton Hazell: around 80 jobs lost in Conwy

Help

A car parts factory near Colwyn Bay is to close with the loss of nearly 80 jobs.

Administrators KPMG blamed "prolonged, challenging trading conditions" for the demise of Quinton Hazell in Mochdre, and a sister plant in Lancaster where nearly 120 people worked.

The Unite union said the speed of the closure had left workers feeling "angry and anxious".

Roger Pinney reports.
