Cross-border health: 'Delay ops' in England for Welsh patients


Hospitals in England which provide specialist care for patients from Wales have been told by the Welsh NHS to delay some operations.

It has been revealed that health managers in Wales have threatened not to pay English hospital trusts if they treat patients from Wales too quickly.

Opposition parties have described the decision as "outrageous" and a "cost cutting exercise", as BBC Wales health correspondent Owain Clarke explains.
