Essential services continue despite snow and ice

As snow and ice affects most of Wales' essential services are carrying on.

Treacherous conditions remain on roads across Wales and gritters will be out in force across the country once again.

The Cardiff and Vale Health Board is urging staff who live near to their place of work - and are scheduled to be on duty - to do their best to get in under their own steam.

Andy Dobbinson, a paramedic and the GMB union representative of the Welsh Ambulance Service told Peter Johnson on BBC Radio Wales that Friday's conditions had been a challenge.
