Police probe man's 'unexplained' death in Pontypool street

Gwent Police says it is treating the death of a man in Pontypool, Torfaen, as unexplained.

The man, in his 60s, from Caerphilly, was found on Market Street on Tuesday at 12:30 GMT.

Police and paramedics were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers are undertaking enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, and at this time we are treating it as unexplained."
