Dai Greene helps start Nos Galan run in Mountain Ash

The Olympic hurdler Dai Greene was unveiled as the mystery runner at the annual Nos Galan road races at Mountain Ash in the south Wales valleys on New Year's Eve.

The event was set up to commemorate the life of the legendary 18th Century runner Guto Nyth Bran.

Around 1,300 runners took part in the races for children and adults.

Matt Murray spoke to Greene as the celebration got under way.
