A4067 crash at Ystradgynlais: Car driver is named

A driver who died in a crash which closed a main road in the Upper Swansea Valley for nearly 11 hours has been named by police.

Andrew Williams, 29, of Clase, Morriston, was the only occupant of a Honda Civic which crashed on the A4067 near Ystradgynlais on Saturday morning.

A section of the road was closed in both directions until 19:00 GMT.

Emergency services said on Saturday one car was involved in the incident. Witnesses are urged to call 101.

Officers are continuing to investigate the crash, which happened near the Aubrey roundabout at around 08:00 GMT.

Next of kin have been informed.
