New board set up to run professional rugby in Wales

The Welsh Rugby Union and the regions have formed a new body intended to develop the game in Wales.

It follows an independent financial report commissioned by the union.

The Professional Regional Game Board will bring together the union and the regions with an independent chair and will start work in December.

Roger Lewis, the WRU's group chief executive, explained the move to Oliver Hides at Radio Wales.
