Keep GCSEs in Wales in stronger Bacc, review says

Pupils in Wales should continue to sit GCSEs as part of a revamped Baccalaureate, an independent report says.

The Welsh review calls for GCSEs to be more challenging.

The recommendation would increase differences with England, where new qualifications are planned.

There were concerns the exam system is too complex.
