Wales flooding: Ruthin residents question why estate flooded
After hundreds of homes were evacuated in north Wales due to severe flooding, Denbighshire council says it is too early to speculate about the cause.
Residents from the Glasdir Estate, Ruthin, have questioned why a flood prevention scheme failed to protect their homes.
The estate's developer, Taylor Wimpey, says it had organised additional resources to assist residents with the clean up.
Keith Jones, director of the Institution of Civil Engineers in Wales, told Oliver Hides on BBC Radio Wales said the issue of building on floodplains needed to be examined.
