Cheryl Jones, of Newport, was trying out a new camera and sunset filters from the top of Ridgeway in Newport. She said: "I like this one, as the colours are lovely and autumnal, and the shapes of the clouds in front of the sunset add character to the picture."
Mike Clarke, of Connah's Quay, Flintshire, stopped to take this image of sunrise over the River Dee. He said: "The water was unusually flat to reflect the sky on my commute to work."

Looking towards the north Devon coast from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. Gina Burton, of Barry, said: "The foreground is dark because I focused on the sky to bring out the colours of the sunset. The trees mark the cliff top."
