Mickey Rourke backs Welsh boxer Nathan Cleverly


When Nathan Cleverly fights Shawn Hawk in Los Angeles on Saturday and Hollywood star Mickey Rourke will carry the Welsh boxer's WBO light-heavyweight belt into the ring at the Staples Center.

Rourke, who also used to be a professional boxer, told Gareth Rhys Owen what first impressed him about Cleverly, and compared him with another Welsh fighter, Joe Calzaghe.

He also described how he and Welsh singing legend Sir Tom Jones will walk Cleverly's belt into the ring.
