Homes evacuated after explosion in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service says 17 people have been evacuated after a "small explosion" in a sheltered housing complex.

Firefighters attended the property in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, at 16:00 BST after the incident which is thought to have involved a gas cylinder.

There were no reports of a fire and no reported injuries.

Police and the ambulance service are also in attendance. It is unclear when the residents will be able to return.
