India appoints Raj Aggarwal as honorary consul to Wales

The High Commission of India has appointed an honorary consul general to Wales for the first time.

Raj Aggarwal was inaugurated at an event on Wednesday evening. As part of his new role he will lead a UK-India trade conference in Cardiff on Thursday.

First Minister Carwyn Jones will be attending, as will small businesses from Wales and India.

Mr Aggarwal explained more about his role to Felicity Evans on BBC Radio Wales.
