Disabled facilities grant delays criticised by commissioner

Help

Some elderly and disabled people are waiting nearly four times longer than others, for local authorities to pay for lifts, ramps and rails in their homes.

Figures seen by BBC Wales suggest some councils are taking up to two years to hand over the money.

It comes as the Older People's Commissioner for Wales says she will take councils to court if they make people wait unnecessarily.

Jordan Davies reports.
