Graduate, a new exhibition at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff is showcasing some of the best works in contemporary art from the nation's graduates.
The exhibition features more than 50 works by 35 graduates from universities across Wales throughout the building in Cardiff Bay.
Graduate is curated by the renowned Welsh artist Peter Finnemore and not only highlights the talent of art graduates in Wales, but also shows the personal insight and interpretation of the curator.
Peter Finnemore said, "Viewing the arts degree shows throughout Wales was a rewarding experience which gave insight into the range, intelligence and quality of the visual arts produced within the nation".
He added, "The visual arts are a plurality of different medias and traditions; this is reflected within the broad range of applied and fine art courses on offer in Wales".
The varied works on show include sculptures and installations, paintings, mixed media pieces, photographic prints and video installations.
The selection is designed to interact with the building and the audience: "Consideration to the architecture, exhibition space and audience at the Centre was a factor".
The exhibition shows work by graduates from Aberystwyth University, Bridgend College, University of Wales Trinity St Davids, Coleg Sir Gar, University of Glamorgan, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Swansea Metropolitan University and University of Wales, Newport.
Mr Finnemore added, "Current graduates have a professional outlook upon art making activities and a career within the arts; this exhibition gives evidence to this and the quality and diverse creativity of the arts produced in colleges throughout Wales".
Graduate runs at the Wales Millennium Centre until Sunday 25 November 2012.
