Gleision mine tragedy: £1m to be split between families

Families of the four men who died in the Gleision mining disaster are set to receive their share of the £1m raised within the next week.

Trustees met on Monday to wind up the fund, which was launched after the disaster in the Swansea Valley in September last year.

They praised the generosity of people who donated money and those who gave their time to help out.
