Police appeal after man killed in road crash near Hirwaun

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed when his car left a road and overturned.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the man, who was from the Brecon area, was pronounced dead at the scene on the A4059 between Storey Arms and Hirwaun.

The incident happened at around 15:00 BST on Thursday.

The man's red Ford Focus was the only vehicle involved in the crash and he was travelling alone, said officers.

The road was closed for several hours while a crash investigation was carried out.
