Aurora shooting: Stephanie Davies' father talks of daughter's bravery

Help

The Welsh father of a woman who saved her friend's life during a shooting incident at a Colarado cinema has told how the pair "played dead" to survive.

Malcolm Davies, originally from Ceredigion, told BBC Radio Wales that Stephanie Davies, 21, stemmed the bleeding after her friend, Allie Young, who had been shot in the neck, dialled 911 and then carried her from the cinema to an ambulance outside.

Twelve people died in the shooting on Friday and 58 others were injured.

President Barack Obama has met and praised the actions of the two women.

Mr Davies was speaking on the phone from the US with Radio Wales' presenter Felicity Evans.
