London 2012: Olympic hopes at Welsh cycle base
Sir Chris Hoy has been chosen to carry the flag for Great Britain at the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics on Friday.
The four-time Olympic gold medal winner polled the most number of votes among the 542 members of the British team.
The announcement was made in Newport, south east Wales, at the base of the British Cycling Team.
Among the team is Geraint Thomas who is aiming for gold for the second games in a row.
