Five Remploy factories to close with 189 job cuts

Five Remploy factories which employ disabled workers will shut in Wales.

The factories at Aberdare, Abertillery, Merthyr, Swansea and Wrexham will all shut with the loss of 189 jobs.

They are among 27 in the UK which will close.

The UK government has accepted viable business plans for two sites at Bridgend and Croespenmaen near Blackwood, Caerphilly county, meaning work can continue there.

Jamie Owen and Roger Pinney report.
