Lesley Griffiths defends NHS report involved in email row

Welsh government opposition parties say they are concerned about the way Health Minister Lesley Griffiths held up a report into planned changes in the NHS as entirely independent.

The email exchange between its author and government officials - made public under a Freedom of Information request - suggest it was not, they say, "as thoroughly independent" as the minister led them to believe.

Ms Griffiths said the process around the preparation of the report was "irreproachable".
