Broadcaster Huw Edwards opens London Urdd Eisteddfod

A regional Urdd Eisteddfod has been held outside Wales for the first time.

The cultural event for Welsh-speaking young people was held at Jewin Chapel at Barbican in London with more than 200 competitors taking part in 35 competitions.

It was officially opened by broadcaster Huw Edwards, who is president of the London Welsh Society.
