A host of Welsh musicians will perform at the Cardiff City Stadium ahead of the Gary Speed memorial football match later this month.

Super Furry Animals, Bryn Terfel and Only Men Aloud are among those confirmed for the tribute.

Wales will play Costa Rica on 29 February, with more than 15,000 tickets sold so far for the match.

The Wales manager's body was found hanging in the garage at his home near Chester in November.

The coroner at the inquest into his death said he could not be satisfied Speed, 42, intended to kill himself.

The Football Association of Wales has said it wants the fixture to be a celebration of Speed's life.

There was an outpouring of grief in the footballing community after the death.

Fans at grounds around the country took park in tributes to the former Welsh international captain, who played for a number of Premier League clubs, including Leeds, Newcastle, Everton, and Bolton.
