Three of those honoured by in the New Year Honours list describe what it means to them.

Poet and playwright Dannie Abse wonders what his late brother Leo, a former MP, would make of his CBE.

Rowena Thomas-Breese, from Old Colwyn, Conwy, discusses her MBE for services to disabled swimming and charity work.

Chris Howard, head of Lewis School in Pengam, Caerphilly county, talks about his OBE.
