Fuel poverty as families struggle to pay heating bills

More than 400,000 families in Wales are struggling to meet the cost of heating their homes.

With fuel bills rising more than 21% since last year, new figures show that four out of the top five areas in the UK suffering fuel poverty are in Wales.

Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Neath Port Talbot and Caerphilly are the worse affected.

But many customers may be able to get help and could be missing out on hundreds of pounds towards their bills.

Nick Palit reports.
