How Conwy Tunnel benefits traffic and nature

It is 20 years since the Conwy Tunnel opened in 1991, solving years of traffic congestion in the town centre.

The UK's first immersed tube tunnel, which took five years to build, sits beneath the estuary, and its creation even led to the building of a nature reserve.
