New conductor for BBC National Orchestra of Wales
BBC Wales has announced that the new principal conductor of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales will be Thomas Søndergård.
The 41-year-old Dane will take up the baton when the current conductor leaves in September next year.
Later he will conduct his first concert with the orchestra since the announcement.
