Teachers to strike in Wales over pensions

Help

Hundreds of schools and many public buildings across Wales are expected to close on Thursday as almost 40,000 teachers and civil servants strike in a dispute over pensions.

The strike comes after talks between unions and the coalition government failed to reach an agreement.

There are more strikes likely in the autumn, and the unions say they are preparing for a "protracted dispute".

Rhodri Lewis reports.
