Welsh boxer Sean McGoldrick finally gets gold

Welsh boxer Sean McGoldrick, 18, from Newport, received his belated 2010 Commonwealth Gold medal on Tuesday in a special medal ceremony in Cardiff - eight months after competing at the Delhi Games.

He returned home initially with a silver medal after losing to Sri Lanka's Manju Wanniarachchi in the bantamweight final.

But he later failed a drugs test and was stripped of his title, leaving McGoldrick as the Commonwealth Champion.

He received the medal at Wales' national boxing centre where he trained in preparation for the Commonwealth Games.
