HMS Glamorgan: memorial for Falklands War ship

Help

A memorial has been unveiled on the Falkland Islands, marking the role HMS Glamorgan played during the conflict.

The Royal Navy Vessel was hit by a missile just two days before the Argentine surrender in 1982.

Fourteen crew members were killed and dozens more seriously injured.

The memorial, made of Welsh granite, will stand near Port Stanley, close to the site from where the Exocet missile was fired.

Carwyn Jones reports.
