Firing range in Powys transformed into open-air theatre


A military firing range will become an open air theatre for a special production being staged from tonight.

The Epynt training site in the Brecon Beacons is the latest venue for the National Theatre of Wales, which its pushing the boundaries of its productions by staging them in different outdoor sites.

Aeschylus's The Persians will be performed to a maximum 140 people each night, who will be picked up from nearby Sennybridge beforehand. The adaption of the tragedy will be shown until 21 August.
