A planning row which saw billionaire Terry Matthews threaten to turn his back on Newport could be resolved at last.

Planning consent to remove a Grade II-listed farmhouse at the Celtic Manor resort in time for the Ryder Cup was refused, but now permission to restore it has been granted.
