Police have released the name of a 67-year-old man who died while fishing near Rowardennan at Loch Lomond.

Robert McKeown, from the Drumchapel area of Glasgow, was out fishing with a friend near Rowardennan on Friday night when he fell into the water.

Police Scotland were called at about 20:00 and Mr McKeown's body was recovered at 13:00 on Saturday.

The force is now appealing for family members, or anyone who has information on his next of kin, to come forward.

Sgt Donald Konkol said: "Following this tragic incident, we have so far been unable to trace the next of kin of Robert McKeown.

"Anyone who has information that can assist should contact police."
