Firefighters tackle blaze at Spittal of Glenshee hotel

A fire at an empty hotel at Spittal of Glenshee has been brought under control.

About 50 firefighters had been tackling the blaze at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said there are still appliances at the scene but the fire has been put out.

The emergency services were alerted shortly before 04:00. Eight appliances were sent to the scene and at its peak the fire was said to be "well alight".
