Man seriously injured in Brechin disturbance

A 35-year-old man has been treated in hospital for serious injuries following a disturbance in Brechin in the early hours.

Police said they were "making enquiries into a disturbance" which took place in Montrose Street in the Angus town at 02:20.

The injured man was treated at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Montrose Street in Brechin was closed to all traffic to allow enquiries to be carried out.
