Absconding prisoner Stewart Rattray caught in Inverness

A prisoner who absconded from Castle Huntly open prison has been caught.

Stewart Rattray failed to return to the Perthshire prison after a period of unescorted leave on Tuesday, 5 August.

Police mounted a search for the 34-year-old in the Inverness area, where he is known to have friends and family.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland's Tayside division confirmed Rattray was traced in Inverness on Saturday.
